DC Motors

Hansen's line of DC Gear Motors features a Permanent Magnet DC Motor mounted on Hansen's Synchron Gear Train. These motors are available in five different mounting configurations and a wide variety of gear ratios. This high efficiency, low cost DC Motor features permanently lubricated sintered bearings and long life brushes.

Our high quality Model 148 Permanent Magnet DC Motor is available in various voltages. Excellent for use in ribbon drives, emergency flashers, medical equipment, etc.

DC Gear Motors are available with a wide variety of output shaft configurations some of which are shown on pages 20 and 21. There are 364 gear ratios available as standard. These ratios range from 1.3:1 to 6,912,000:1. Also available are one way clutches and 2 way slip clutches.

Gear Trains are generally rated at 30 oz. in. (212 mN-m) but are rated less at faster speeds, ratios less than 300:1. Motor life is dependent on speed, torque, number of start-stop cycles, duty cycle, etc.
